I know you guys are going to tell me to solo farm, but i used to farm greens in NF with no problem.
You used to be able to get green drops with 7/8 hero hench in NM. Actually, i think it was before HM came out.
It seems now, its impossible to get a green drop with 7/8 H/H.
Anyone have any sucess in obtaining greens with heros, or am i just that unlucky that i cant get a green in over 1,000 atempts to farm one?

Just unlucky. Only way to really boost your luck would be less H/H. Do you really need all 7 for each farm?

You should flag them away and kill the boss yourself.

And you're just unlucky. I got a green with a full team on the first day of GWEN, along with many others in NM and HM NF.

Its still very possible, just when it does drop, you will only have 1/7 of a chance for it to drop for you, so that lowers the already fairly slim chance even further.

Flagging heroes still worked 1 week ago, although when farming Dwayna's grace the drop rate was about 1/3 or 1/4. If you did it a 1000 times with flag and get squat, something's really wrong.

I do get some green drops 'accidentally' ie it drops for me while i am missioning or questing. Just that its very very rare.

Well, i dont flag my heros, i play the game like im supposed to, Farming Reputation points as i go. Now i know lots of players that have quit GW because they used to just farm greens all day, and now that they nurfed the solo farmer, they just lost interest in the game. Now i can tell something is different from the way i used to farm greens in Nightfall. It was possible to Farm a green say 1 out of 10 runs with a full team of hero/hench without flagging.
Do you think if i had 8/8 real players the green would drop for someone in the party, but because i have 7/8 H/H its just saying No way.
Now there is no way im going to find 7 real players that want to help me farm the green im after. It just seems people used to play this game to farm and sell greens, and now that they did something to alter it, there is really no reason to continue playing the game anymore..
I cant farm a green anymore to save a life.

Greens are exempt from loot scaling.

For me [ I have recorded many solo boss kills ] a green drops once out of every 7 runs. If you are using a full team, it's 7x8=56. You have a one in fifty-six chance of getting the drop. 10% in a full group is ludicrously exaggerated.

Well, i can confirm that that percentage is way over 1/56 from in game experience.

I've had four, maybe five greens drop for me in a full party of heroes and henchmen. /age shows 4000+ hours. Atleast 500 of those hours must be from playing solo with AI. I can confirm it's very close to my approximation.

How? If it was 1/56 (something like 1.7%?) each time you enter the zone, it doesn't mean that just because you hit the spot 56 times you'll get a green.

Are you just killing the boss or are you flagging the heroes?

Because i keep hitting bosses, and it seems im getting penalized for re-entering zones over and over. Its like i have some kind of nurf script.
Well, me and a buddie are now dropping the hench, and are going to start testing with just 2 player 6 heros and see if we can both get a green.

I have to vote for just the luck thing and I can only say that from personal experience. While I'm not a hardcore farmer of greens, I have gone after a few.

It took me three days of near constant runs to finally get my 1 Kaolin Domination Staff. I know the agony of yelling at your screen for your boss to "Drop it! Give it to meeeeeee!", and when he dies and nothing drops, you feel like crying hehe.

I had just as much trouble with Vahlen's Vow.

Oddly enough, on the other side of the coin, during my SS runs in the desolation, I've managed to pick up 6 Hajkor's Flame wands. Ardeh's Daggers only took half a day as well for one pair. (The second took many more attempts).

Also odd enough, and certainly just coincidence I'm sure (but kind of a funny story too!), but the first time I mad it to the Factions mainland, I was reading a convo between players about how hard it was to get Chan's Greed. Strange enough as it is the first time I met up with Chan he dropped it.

So yeah, just cross your fingers and toes and hope for the best.

Well, me and a friend are non-flagging just repeated boss killing to see how many times it takes to kill him to get a green to drop with 2 human 6 heros.

Yes i own a E/A and know how to flag heros, but that isnt what im trying to test here. Im trying to determine if playing with Heros and Hench Greatly reduce the chance of obtaining a green.

Before the introduction of Hard Mode it was very possible to Farm Greens with heros, It has to do with Normal and Hard mode.

Maybe I have better luck than most. I usually have a full party because I'm not worried about deliberate farming, and I tend to get at least one green drop every two or three zones if I stop and kill every boss in my path. Not always; I often go days at a time with no greens, but usually it works out that way. Of course, if I try to get a particular green to drop, I'll never see it. :P

Of course, the ones that I get are usually unpopular. :P Noob island items, Ssuns' Staff, Bosun's Focus, Marobeh's Chill, etc.

Meh ive capped all elites, havent seen ONE green drop from all those bosses i slayed.

String of bad luck i guess.
